Mission Murals is a grassroots, volunteer-driven initiative dedicated to amplifying the mission, values, and vision of nonprofit organizations and the communities they serve. Our goal is to celebrate and strengthen community, transform public spaces, and support local artists. Guided by people who are inspired by and passionate about creating public art, Mission Murals is entirely community-driven and funded. As a“giving circle” we harness the power of collective giving networks to raise funds, interest, engagement and awareness for our mural projects.
Current Mission Mural, “Building Blocks” @ 266 Main Street VT:
We are back at it with a new vision for transforming 266 Main Street and College in downtown Burlington, VT with “Building Blocks” by Clark Derbes and the community. Covered in defacement and vandalism, 266 Main sits directly across from Edmunds Elementary & Middle School, where it serves as the daily backdrop for children’s play and learning. As a gateway to downtown, its condition affects the character and vibrancy of the entire community. Together we can do something about it! Learn all about this project and join us in this effort.
Community Paint Days:
Community paint days will be scheduled for mid-September. Please let us know you are interested and we will let you know when we schedule dates and times.
